I can not wait for the 3D combat engine. We can record video along with the combat audio we recorded for each race. Klingon

Kudos go to Joel (RazorsEdge) for the new logo, though it was a collaborative effort .

Paddy No updates as I've been very busy this month buying a new flat and moving in. I hope to have the last pre-release download back up soon.

A new download has been posted. This is essentially the same as the 14 January 2008 release, but with a new title screen, new race pictures, and a couple minor tweaks to the UI system.

I'm getting the same thing (I assume since it's got the same error code at the bottom): Quote: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.

@Mike, can you switch places of alien image and alien info text on galactic map screen like in diplomacy menu screen (Mintakans and others looking in wrong direction) and the emblems are in opposite places i believe...

Sorry for the absence. Was getting used to my university's schedule all over again. Anyway, good progress! I notice improved loading times and the diplomacy screen problem's solved! However, one thing still eludes me: why does the Scout type ship take longer to build than the Cruiser type?

The game has undergone absolutely no balancing of any kind yet - problems like this will continue to be noticed until the game is more complete and we've had time to balance them out. Scout ships have the most efficient engines possible and the largest Deuterium supplies of all though, as well as above average sensors/lab equipment and tough spaceframes for long-term missions - all of which pushes up their build cost. Cruisers on the other hand are designed to be good all-rounders with a slight focus on combat ability. They sacrifice efficiency and maintenance costs for cheaper build costs. Like I said though, it's all a matter of balancing. No matter how they are designed, an Oberth *should* be cheaper to build and maintain than an Ambassador, for instance. These kinks will be ironed out once combat is actually implemented and we can begin making the necessary balancing corrections and testing them in full-fledged games. ... I agree with Kenneth on the facing of the images; it would look better if the races actually faced the text. It may be easier to simply flip the images than rearrange the interface, though. Having the image on the right-hand side would reflect the placing on the diplomacy screen though, as shown in his second image.

That is Zeleni on the facing of images, not Kenneth but yes I agree as well.

Is this the right place to post an error text? Newly downloaded Supremacy. Newly installed .net 3.5 over XP-SP3. Unhandled exception.

I noticed that in the research screen, when you hover the cursor over the picture of facilities or ships etc. the tool tip is blank. It did work in the previous release though.

Oh btw, after exiting Supremacy, I find that Supremacy still runs in the background. This only happens after I load my game and enter a new turn. It does not do this when I just load Supremacy or load Supremacy and my saved game. Only happens when 1 turn has passed. Any idea what could be wrong?
There's nothing in the error.txt files.

Welcome back. If you like what you see there are some things you could do to help. This for example: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1749&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

Hey aris, welcome to the forums...again! Did you have trouble accessing your old acount or something? I can reset your old password if you want, or delete the old one. Let me know if you want me to do anything. ... Sorry about that mistake, Kenneth_of_Zeleni. I've done that a few times now, haven't I? ... If ANYONE gets an error report, either copy-and-paste the text from the error report into a post in this thread, or attach the file to a post so Mike can have a look at what is wrong. This thread is the main Supremacy thread so by posting here you can guarantee Mike or *someone* will be able to have a look at your problem as soon as possible.

Hello ! I've used almost all my day to test this game, and here's are the bugs or ameliorations *I* think could be good : - when you're looking for loading a game, what about loading it by double clicking on the file - in the higher zoom, biggers vessels symbols could be better for see them - the tech tree : I regret you've to develop weapons systems to go on the general technology tree ... perhaps there is a solution to this - symbolize the docking stations on the systems representations - the possibility of being centered on the system you're working on. I explain : in the last hours of my gaming test, I've finished to go through the systems via the rollover menu ... and I haven't found a simple way to know where this system is on the map. So what's about, I don't know, perhaps a minimap, or an icon to quit the gestion menu, centered on the right system ? - when you choose a building in the building list, a picture appears in the right of the screen : if you go to the shipyard, the picture (and description) keep in that place ... what about blanking it, or placing a generic ship picture ? I've seen some bugs, too. There's you probably know, like the fact the game use 50% of my CPU, and 1 gig of RAM ; the fact that when you create a new galaxy, the rollover menu is shown behind the general menu. There's the two major bugs I've found. Sooo ... I hope it help you, and can't wait for the next release
