http://www.scifi-meshes.com/forums/gami ... equal.htmlI was in the mood of searching around there for some TOS outposts and look what I found . Someone needs to tell them that there are/were actually 4 now, UE, Gavin, Supremacy and BotE . Edit: Interesting, even more stuff coming up recently: http://imperium.blogsome.com/2007/12/22/botf-2/

Wow, it's always really cool to run across a post about my own game . I clarified the history a bit and extended an invite.

hm, I tried to register there but it looks as if they don't accept my email account . Edit: Never mind, it just did. anyway, the guy with the video card and .net 3.5 update problem might need to install the omega drivers for his ati card. Helped me a lot, the catalyst is just crap.

Omega drivers? What are those? The ATI website only gives me the Catalyst ones...

I know, but look here: http://www.omegadrivers.net . It's some kind of self-created driver done by a guy with some spare time left I guess . anyway it's not official but it's resolving a lot of problems plus increases fps usually. I think those sfm guys could really help us and especially cdrwolfe in his artwork section. MoE, cdrwolfe, you both might want to ask for some help there and opensource your stuff so people could lend a hand like some of them did with the BSG Beyond the Red line mod, like Comco said.

I posted a comment in that first blog with some info to help the blogger. He's either found a bug i've never heard of before or he's got a really old version of the game.

I've never seen him mention Supremacy, though. I'm guessing either the first guy knows him personally or Jeff simply guided him to CodePlex, where he discovered the project on his own. Either way, that's pretty cool.

I'am amazed how my video manages to work it's way into everything. People don't seem to realise what it is exactly, and that it is only a demo of a part of the game lol, a poor demo at that.

I find the genre they put Supremacy in there pretty enlightening.. Also I find it interesting that Gamespot itself belongs to CBS according to their legal notice .

I like how they've listed the developing "Company" of Supremacy as Mike Strobel. The related games are funny as well. I've never thought of comparing Supremacy to Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy and Deus Ex before. I've posted on the forums to tell the posters about our forums. Some of them apparently don't know we have a site! Oh, and you might be pleased to know that 16 people are tracking the Supremacy listing for updates and 13 people have added Supremacy to their Gamespot wishlists, Mike.

I wonder who created that entry. It's on worthplaying.com too btw.. I assume not everyone can add stuff like that to gamespot. I also assume legal aspects are tested before that happens. Very encouraging regarding it then must be CBS staff who did that. Or do you see any other fan games (trek or non-trek) there?

I've never seen any other fan games on there before. Then again, i've never actually looked. As far as I know, only the site admin can make entries like that, and they must have got at least *some* legal advice before putting it up since it is an unlicenced fan game of a major franchise. The images that they have were only uploaded yesterday as well, so the info is practically up-to-the-minute. Oh, and 2 more people have added Supremacy to their watch lists and 2 more people have added it to their wishlists since I made my last post. Supremacy is also doing well in the Gamespot Game rankings - of ALL games, it is ranked at 1,236 of 49,686, and its' rank on the PC is 313 of 9,434 games.

Put BotF's stats up too--it's only ranked 2,414 of 10,166 compared to our rank of 344 of 10,166.
For the mathematically impaired, that puts us in the top ~3.4% of PC games.

Star Trek Online is put into the top ten by Gamespot. I sense some statistical "shift" here towards to-be-announced trek games, do I? Btw. that makes Supremacy the second-best trek game out there (which honestly I think isn't even far from truth given what came before), BC, SFC and Armada are well left far behind. It could prove to be the entry card for an official license for the game at the tba release date in the future or even before, who knows.. Edit: Okay, Legacy got rank 722 and they write here that:"with future modifications that will allow you to also play as one of the hundreds of minor races". that's pushing a little.. btw. is supremacy designed to allow for minor races to be played by players, aside from the need of having some sort of buildings for them (which could be derived from major race buildings having a slight bonus or malus percentage on their stats)? It would be a little like Hearts of Iron gameplay-wise. Colonizing would then be automatic since there are no colony ships for that race or perhaps one cannot control these colony ships, neither build-wise nor which planetary system they choose to terraform and colonize. Same with troop transports. I guess this would mean a lot of strain for the network code to remain stable and all..

In theory, with a few modifications in the editor, players should be able play as any of the races in the game - or even create their own race. Seeing as the other Empires aren't playable yet though - even though they have been implemented - i'm guessing that there is still some code that is either missing or has been disabled that prevents you playing as anything other than the Federation at the moment. ...Plus there's the fact that there's no race selection screen yet. ... Supremacy is now up to rank 1,236 of 49,686 games (No change), and 308 of 9,434 games on PC (up five places). 28 people are tracking it (12 more) and 16 have added it to their wishlists (1 more).

Be nice to put a pic of the box up but i doubt they would allow it, also it may confuse people in thinking it is really coming out in the stores.
