Fixed. The only problem is that the changes to the tech names breaks the tecknames and description in the game, so i'll have to send it to Mike and hope that he knows how to fix it.

Fixed, fixed, fixed, fixed, and fixed, .Iceman. I've rewritten the first paragraph of the Federation's first contact information: Quote: The United Federation of Planets is a coalition of worlds bound by a mutual desire for peace, the pursuit of scientific understanding, and trade. By far, however, the most numerous of the Federation races is one of the founding members, the Humans of Sol... I've slightly rewritten the Romulan paragraph so it refers more to the sufficient provision of energy to the people. This doesn't necessarily mean that industry or even the military always gets everything they want though. This would be important in Romulan society because if the government was unable to provide enough power for the people to live comfortably, they might begin to doubt the government. And Romulan society would never accept such a situation... Fixed, fixed, fixed, and fixed, .Iceman. Fixed and fixed, Wolfe.

Ablative Matrices: I don't understand what you mean by the innovation being redundant. It's a new technology afterall. Otherwise fixed and fixed. Silicobiology: I've capitalised the first word of all bracketed text sections, so if you want me to change this, I should change the others as well. You didn't point them out though so i'm confused by this. I was always taught to capitalised even after a bracket, so you're doubting my teachers as well. Isolinear Optics: Text rewritten. Nuclear Epitaxy: Fixed and fixed. Quantum Resonance: Text rewritten. I have no idea why the updates would be missing from the 20-03 files. Check your PM's for the latest version. The updates are definitely there.

I can't believe this is my first post here, but I registered and this just happened to be the thread I was reading today when I was going to post lol. Been reading these forums for over a year now, figured I should register. Anyways innovation = "new idea", "new method" or "new device", you shouldn't say "new new device", that is what he means. Basically "New" is implied by the word "Innovation". Definition: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/innovationI actually like reading the bug reports and typo sections, you learn a lot about the game from the content here surprisingly. I wouldn't say its my favorite section, but definitely informative. Great game, keep up the good work

Kaladin is right, that's what I meant.
About the capitalization after the parenthesis, unless things work differently there, capitalisation only happens at the beginning of a sentence (barring special cases like nouns). Whatever is inside parenthesis is not a new sentence - brackets are a different thing though. Not really important. (I might have missed some, but that was not intentional - it's really tiring reading, checking and typing a bunch of stuff)

Hey Kaladin, welcome to the forums! I'm glad this discussion finally made you come out of lurking mode; the more people that post on the forums, the more input people will have on the game. I'm sorry, but I still don't understand what the problem with using the word "innovation" in the description is; you've discovered a new technology, therefore you've got an innovation. But there's two of you now saying it, so I just removed the first sentence of the description to eliminate the innovation problem. Ablative Matrices wrote: Ablative Matrices compliment the natural hull materials with an Ablative matrix that vapourizes upon the impact of enemy weapons fire, thereby dissipating the destructive energy of the impact. This in turn reinforces the overall structural integrity of starships. It is also far easier to remove and replace Ablative armour plates than it is to repair damaged hulls, so this technology can potentially reduce the time needed to repair battle-damaged starships.

I think my response here from a few days ago was lost in the server switch so here is basically what I said...Hehe, I wouldn't worry about it too much but you could have just deleted the word "new". A new technology is an innovation but "new" is part of the definition of the word "Innovation" and therefore "new" doesn't need to be stated again. It is like saying "liquid water" you don't need to state that it is liquid because water by default is liquid. This example is probably going to get me in trouble though Some other examples are "old elder", "wet liquid" and "large giant". All of those use redundant adjectives. Hope that helps P.S. Thanks for the welcome, I'm still looking for something I can do to help, for now I'll keep popping in and letting you know about anything I see.

The Omarion Nebula (Home system of the Dominion) shows up as "Omarion Nebula Nebula" in the system screen. And - unlike stellar systems, it's name doesn't show up below the Nebula picture in the galaxy map.

Thanks for pointing this out Andi, but I fixed the Omarion Nebula Nebula problem quite a long time ago - I just haven't released the update so it still shows up for everyone. The update is going to be included in the Easter update though, so it won't be happening for much longer. It happens because the Omarion Nebula is listed as "Omarion Nebua" in the game files. But the game automatically adds the word "Nebula" onto the Nebula names, so it shows up as "Omarion Nebula Nebula" instead. The lack of the Nebula name on the map is a bug that Mike knows about and is fixing. I've incidentally added a lot of new names to the Nebula name list as well, so maps will be even more varied in future.
