It just happened to me:

...
Wind Turbine constructed in sector Numiri
Planetary Build queue is empty in the Numiri System
Wind Turbine constructed in sector Numiri

and now the Numiri Systems has got two Wind turbines.

You've probably suffered from a bug that we thought had already been fixed, Andi.

Basically, the build queue would sometimes desynchronise from the rest of the game - a structure would be completed, but it wouldn't be removed from the build queue. So when the game starts to build the next structure in the list, it would still be the structure that was just completed - so the game would build it again.

As I said though, this bug was *supposed* to have been fixed already. This is also the first time i've heard of it surfacing since the fix was released, so it must be a random glitch. With any luck, it won't happen at all once the Easter update is released. Just be glad of the extra power that Numiri has for the time being. :P

Hello,

I have encountered same issue with several buildings today (May 4th). It also led to a crash if I doubleclick one of the planets that built something twice in the turn summary window.

I have attached a screenshot. Doubleclicking Alpha Renner would crash the game. The game was up to date, version 0.4.3281.27624. I have also attached a save game file.

Another issue- on my Intel GMA945 video card, the right-click menu & turn summary screen windows flicker.

Nice game overall and looks very promising. Keep up the good work.

Hey coder, welcome to the forums! :)

We were hoping that an update for the game would have been released by now, but Mike (The developer) has been snowed under by his work and hasn't gotten around to releasing the update yet. He knows of the multi-build problem, so it's a safe bet that the bug has been squashed, even if we don't yet have access to those updated files. You should however know that production works differently to BOTF - if a system completes production of a structure but still has industrial output left on the same turn, the remaining industry is channelled into the next structure in the build list - if that second structure is also completed, any remaining industry is put into the third structure in the build list, and the fourth, and so on until all of the industry is used or there is nothing left in the build queue (At which point any remaining industry is lost). So what you've encountered isn't necessarily a bug, but the crash itself most certainly is.

The flickering screens is another known bug, and one that I know Mike has fixed because it is a problem that occaisionally affects myself. He's changed the way the screens are displayed so that such flickers shoudn't be possible. Obviously we won't know for sure until people start testing the game though.

Thanks for attaching your savegame. I'll make sure Mike gets the file, but it might be a while before he can get online to look at it.

By the way, does your forum name hint at your skills by any chance? Mike is always happy to receive any help he can get, and a programmer would certainly help to speed development. If i'm right and you're willing to help, try sending Mike a PM, detailling your skills and any areas you are willing to work in, or any areas that you would like to learn. Several forum members, such as Kenneth_of_Borg and CdrWolfe, have learned skills to help with the project - and Kenneth is now our lead modeller, whilst Wolfe is making the 3D combat system. Supremacy isn't just a game, it can be a learning experience too. :)
