As I was wasting my time on Facebook, I came across a post on the BOTF group (for the old game) by a guy who says the following:

"Im currently making a free BOTF like star trek MMO strategy game, if your interested screenshots and application for alpha testing this summer can be found on the facebook group (trekwar game) and the website: http://www.trekwar.org"

Facebook group (for trekwar):
http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group ... 2899630640

Original Wall post on BOTF group:
http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/wall. ... 6666957244

Game site:
http://www.trekwar.org

I wasn't sure if you are aware of this guys, so I thought I better let you know.

Cheers

PS Right now I feel like a Romulan spy

Well best of luck to them.

The TrekWar guys introduced themselves here on the forums a few months ago. At the time, we considered them more of a rival to Allegiance than Supremacy. It's nice to see they're still around. By the looks of it, their site has had a makeover as well. Cool.

Would not exactly call it competition, both games are free, and I for one intend to play both of them :)

It is competition but of the friendly kind :bigthumb:

Anyway, some competition never hurt anyone :winkthumb:

Sure, look what it did for the Neanderthals.

They are still around….. just keep in mind when you looking at the smoking hot red head…. She has gene called MC1R which a classified as a homo neanderthalensis gene, which also causes red hair. :winkthumb:

Val says "thank you Neanderthals"

No competition at all = stagnation. To speak in Star Trek terms, consider the Q. They are immortal, omnipotent etc but hadn't involved for the last billions of years or so. You get the picture

Besides, I said "some" competition ... hehehe
