OK - now reinstalling finished...
result: all the same ;(

(my Log.txt --> it seems that the GalaxyGenerator Class/Object is the last working right...)

22:34:44.406 [1] INFO Supremacy.Utility.GameLogManager - Log Initialized.
22:36:13.484 [15] INFO Supremacy.Universe.GalaxyGenerator - Civilization Federation placed at location (9, 22)
22:36:13.484 [15] INFO Supremacy.Universe.GalaxyGenerator - Civilization Romulans placed at location (19, 22)
22:36:13.500 [15] INFO Supremacy.Universe.GalaxyGenerator - Civilization Klingons placed at location (23, 28)
22:36:13.500 [15] INFO Supremacy.Universe.GalaxyGenerator - Civilization Cardassians placed at location (11, 29)
22:36:13.500 [15] INFO Supremacy.Universe.GalaxyGenerator - Civilization Dominion placed at location (1, 3)

... after a few seconds my supremacyClient.exe gets 100% CPU usage - perhabs a function waits for a state which the app never gets to? Perhabs a default case would help? <-- i think you are a much better programmer than i am, but sometimes code does not do what the programmer expects - thanks to microsofts event handling ;)...

Dependency Walker says:

IESHIMS.DLL missing << what's that for? Where can i get it? Do i need it?
WER.DLL missing << what's that for? Where can i get it? Do i need it?

Many Greetings!
Markus

Can you guys try running SupremacyClient.exe with the "-DisableUpdates" flag (after getting the latest update)? See if that makes a difference...

Can you guys try something for me? Open the Region and Language control panel, and for "Format", select "English (United States)", reboot, and see if you can start a game.

Same here, only I had to change the currency/date/etcetera format and the default non-unicode language for it to work. Don't know why.

it worked fine for me. And at last i can play.

Question, this change, can affect other programs ??. Because if it doesn´t i leave just like this and don´t worry any more.

Apart from that, thank you very much

OK, that's great--now I know how to reproduce the problem on my machine. It's almost certainly an issue loading the game data. By default, the system will try to load the data using your system's regional format options, but the game data uses U.S. English formatting. I must have forgotten to override the formatting somewhere. I'll get it fixed and push out a new update soon.

Thanks for your help, guys! :winkthumb:

FYI, I've fixed the problem, and I'll try to publish a new update when I get home tonight.

If you do post an update Mike, could you include the updated httpdownloader.dll file in there as well? The auto-updater keeps trying to overwrite it.

Already done, testing the next update now. Will go live as soon as I verify it works.

Hello. I´ve updated three times, the package of 7,7mb, but now it doesn´t ask any for any more updates.
I´ve changed my windows language to Spanish-Argentina, and the game worked fine. But now i´ve got another bit of problem, the names of the objects in the build list doesn´t appear, i mean they are as if where invicible, because if i double click the line it works, but yet i can´t see what i am choosing.
Shipbuilding too.

I correct my self, i can see what i´m choosing, because the image in the upper-right shows up when i click a line in the list. But not the name in the list though.

This is so far what i could see, but didn´t see everything yet.
Hope you guys can understand this post, because it´s early in the morning and my head is about to explote.

Again thank you and live long...

Sounds like another localization problem, I'll check it out. Thanks!

EDIT: Fixed. Will publish a new update tonight.

i´ve download the latest update, and it worked fine. Now i could see all the items in the bueld list and ship list too along with the ships description and the description of the item you´ve got when advance in tech after the turn end. The names of the ship classes. (but doesn´t appear an image of the ship when you choose it in the map). Aannndd the music, i always turn it off, but when i exit the game and then enter again the volum it´s as high as if it where on 100 per cent. The tones of the buttons doesn´s sound too, in any level.
I don´t know if im forguetting something more else.

Someone else already posted about the game resetting the volume every time you restart the game, so it's a known problem. The button beeps don't occur for me either - I thought Mike intended it that way, as the beep could get annoying at times.
