Odd, i've not noticed a problem like that occuring before in Diplomacy. The game does have a bug where text can overflow sometimes though...I'll send Mike a bug report for you.

By the way, I don't know what program you used to make those screenies, but the image quality is a bit low, especially in the second image. You might find Irfanview is a useful image creation/editing program, and most importantly it's free. .png files are much higher quality than .jpg files as well.

Thanks for the report, i'll forward it on to Mike now, but it will likely take him a long while to reply as he is currently swamped with his real job at the moment.

There is also an error in the sentence: "The embassy of the Xepolites to the Federation", because it's the Federation that sends the message to Xepolites.

This should give:
"The embassy of the Federation to the Xepolites" since it is an "outgoing transmission" that the Federation send to the Xepolites.

But in the opposite case:
"The embassy of the Xepolites to the Federation", would be rather for a "incoming transmission" that the Xepolites send to the Federation.

I may be wrong, but I don't think this is meant to be a transmitter/receiver kind of sentence. I think it's meant to give context, meaning you're contacting (whether it's the inbox or outbox or whatever else) the Embassy of the race xxx in Federation space (with the Federation it doesn't sound too good, but the Embassy to the Romulans sounds a bit better).

The diplomacy is at a very early stage in development at the moment, especially since the AI hasn't been implemented yet. The diplomacy text is a bit up in the air and will continue to be until more features are finalised. I know that some of the diplomacy messages have been mixed up/duplicated and contain some grammatical issues/typos as well. Mike has told me not to make any changes to them for the moment though as he will be doing that himself in the future.

Incidentally, BOTF had an error along these lines as well. If a minor race sent you a membership proposal, the game would report that you had joined them, instead of them joining you. "The United Federation of Planets joined the Mintakans" just isn't the way it should work. :P
