Anyways, i've just this moment gone through and updated the images in the first post, so check it out to see your handiwork. If you ever feel an information post is outdated, just let me know about it. As an alternative to checking this thread for the random event images though, just check out the Random event images direct on

I personally like your images and think you're doing a good job. Only you can decide when an image is ready though. If you're not happy with an image, then keep trying. I've already uploaded your latest images to Sharepoint, but if you decide to revise them then I will upload the new copies as soon as I see them.

Ok, fixed the body, but I didn't forget the head. I made it like there was four windows on the torpedo, and the body is visible trough them.

Yeah, we might as well use the image for Academy Enlistments. We don't otherwise have a use for it, although the Warp core looks a little out of place for it. The body in the torpedo for the Popular Advisor one is a nice touch too. I've added them both to Sharepoint and the list.

I do have one comment though - what's the green streak near the top-left of the anti-empire speech one? It looks like a green comet or something.

The green streak is a "streak of hope in the bad event"; nah, just kidding, It's my fault, didn't noticed it. The alternate will be with a different microphone. More retro-looking so that anyone can recognise it. You will decide which one will be put ingame.

Maybe is better to use crowd of aliens swearing federation or simply putting x over feds logo... i know you will have to do image for each empire

You know, looking at the pro-empire image, it also has a coloured streak in it, but that one is blue so it's harder to see. Matress notices all.

Crowds might be a good idea as Zeleni says. You could just have a banner with all five of the empire logos on it to make it non-race specific. Or if you wanted to make it scifi looking, make the banner a holographic TV, like a news report or something.

vjeko1701 Images look good. it is good to see a set of fresh ideas look at these. I got to a point of drawing a blank on seem of these. plus there are a few that need reworked to make the more "multi-empire friendly". Sorry guys I haven't been around all to much of late. I bitten way too much off to chew these days between work, college, and my band... I've been trying to figure out a way to clone myself but only madmen want to do it, and there is no telling what they would hehe.. Why not Val. It should be noted that are generic images intended for all the empires; I think that the presence of vessels isn't necessary for the anomalies, stations and others.

Can you remove the vessel and keep only the station and enlarge the image of this station?

For the Fuel leak, keep the fuel level, remove the vessel and replace it by the back of a warp nacelle losing some plasma

I don't know about that. The pics should be race-geenric but the element of familiar vessels in these picture give the feeling of Star Trek, the feeling of a great show this game is based upon.

There may be another solution, it would make 5 times the same image for each empire but by putting each respective ships and the bases of every empire.

for this event, make 4 other same picture but put 1 starbase of each empire inside the 4 others pictures.
The result will be 5 times the same event for each empire with different starbases.

Creating five images pentruples(?) the amount of work that our artists need to do. Plus it also pentruples(?) the memory demands of the game images, in download size, hard drive requirements, and load requirements. My images folder is already 96.7mb and I know for a fact that it's going to grow. On top of this, I simply don't know if Mike intends to allow multiple images to be used. The artists could create the images only for the game not to be able to load them. We'll need to discuss it with him first, and he isn't here at the moment.

It would be easier to just leave the images as they are, and maybe remove the ships as you suggest, but I agree with Val; people *expect* the ships to be there in at least some of the images.

Ok, sorry for the time it took me but I was busy. This is the alternate to the Anti/Pro empire speech. I tried it with an retro looking microphone but It was unsuccessful, so I put the mic from the previous version.

And I have one question, why isn't the Alien shipyard or Plague picture posted of the first page. I know they were created.
