Yeah, it's a job I trained for four years to do. Gotta move about 120 miles away from home for it though and i'm not sure if I'll have internet access when I do move. It's possible I will be completely cut off, in which case I won't be able to continue as forum admin nor work on Supremacy.

I'll do what I can to ensure I visit as often as possible though. I'm off to view flats tomorrow.

I know in the North America market there are companies that provide internet service to remote areas by means of satellite. You could log on at the bottom of the Grand Canyon if not for the canyon wall in the way. You could try a Google for the service in your area.

telephone and cable tv both allow internet connections, I believe even via power cable it is now possible although I don't know anyone who has got that actually.

I think Starfleet should be named as Matress's deputy while he is gone. He showed spirit and dedication to this project and I'm shore he read all our threads here. Though I don't know for Admin powers but if he is interested he can took other matress's jobs.

He has already taken on some of his work as seen above.

Before - or should I say since - you vultures already are circling, i've got some news. I've found a flat and internet access isn't going to be a problem. I've already filled in the initial forms, and assuming the credit checks and whatever go through, I'll be moving in a couple of weeks.

Since you asked Wolfe, i've been training to be an Environmental Health Officer with a Food/Health & Safety specialism. In fact my account has said so since 2005 if you thought of looking.

I think you Americans call them Health Inspectors. Basically i'll be the voice at the end of the phone if someone has a complaint about a dodgy takeaway or if you get food poisoning. I'll be based in England, but i'd rather not say exactly where in case people decide to target me lol. This means i'll be crossing the border from my motherland. The natives seem friendly enough though. Hopefully it's not because they're cannibals looking for fresh meat.

Anyways, once everythings sorted I might end up having more time for Supremacy than I currently think I will. I won't be online much over the next five weeks or so, but things should ease a bit after that, and I should be fully settled in by March. So I won't be relinquishing my admin powers just yet. The iron fist of the Matress will continue to hold dominion for the time being.

Thanks for the re-welcome guys, you know I wouldn't abandon the project unless it was a last resort. i've put too much time and effort into it to just give up now. I just gave the thread a doom and gloom title to make sure you all read it.
