I am honored. Let me work on the material properties first though so I can see how it turns out.

As structures for Cards going pretty nice I have decided to look in cards ships. Kenneth already did lot of job there, thanks Kenneth. I will try to find if it's possible ships with better textures and and smoother polys also to do distinction between early, mid and late stage ships regarding design and texturing. In my opinion old Botf ships would be ideal as early cardassian ships so I have decided to revamp ships from old Botf. It would be nice of you to leave some feedback if you like or dislike it. So this would be early cardassian -CRUISER I - Kraxon Class. Don't worry Kenneth i know that you placed this model as colony ship but i think I have better solution there. I will pm you later.
-CRUISER I - Kraxon Class:

Thanks and please work on this. It is all a work in progress. I trust your skills. Regarding this model above I would say it could use a higher poly count as you said. It depends too much on the texture for a detailed shape. As you know we do not change the ship list. We improve or replace ships models on it. For everyone I want to say that we have to make our design decisions and move on. It is not that we would never change something but we can not keep going back over basic features of the game, like the ship list, and ever get work done.

You all know that I'm subjective whan it comes to art from botf, simply i like it. I know that ship from above is little bit boxy but it's early Cards ship and in some way must be differnet from ships in later stages of game. Of course, i do this only to make game look more fancy. Also i redid your bakrus class Ken, it looks pretty cool:

That looks wonderful. I love what you did with it. The spec and hard give it a metallic look. When you upload to Sharepoint remember the 270x225.png ( or its multiple ) on transparent background goes to Shared Documents / In Game PNG images. I put a black background on the same image for the image library - so we can look things up online. Will that model replace one of the scouts or survey ships on the Cardassian list? Cardassian Survey Ship III in the ship list?

Though it is very sad that non of 5000 members don't comment any work here, how we should know what they want, what they like etc.

It is easy really.
Class of ship refers to a Constitution class like TOS enterprise and its sister ships or the Vor'Cha class Klingon ship.
Type of ship refers to things like scout, destroyer, transport or cruiser.
We may choose a Vor'Cha to be one of the Klingon Attack Cruisers but we are calling it Klingon Attack Cruiser I and an upgrade of it is the Klingon Attack Cruiser II. Why you ask? Some super fans will know what a Vor'Cha is and almost no one will know what a Chen Qach class ship is or what they are for.
In the game, as in our ship list, we use ship type to name our vessels. Everyone knows what a scout does. Everyone knows what they are building when they order up a Cruiser. The Constitution class Federation ship is abbreviated F Cruiser II in SharePoint files and in game will be listed as Federation Cruiser II. We can tag on a class name but type is the primary name.
Chose if your ship above is going to be a scout, surveyor or some other ship type. Chose also what technologic level. Is it a C Scout II or III? You get to chose because now you are in charge of the Cardassian fleet.

Kenneth, there is a variant of the Klingon Negh'Var Class that you could add in the Klingons designs. http://www.neutralzone.de/database/Alien/Beta/KlingonVoodieh.htmwhy not add the Negh'Var Class as Attack Cruiser III and add the Voodieh as ASSAULT CRUISER?

Good idea. We can take a look at that when working on the Klingon fleet.

Yeah, it's an ENT era D5 refit used as a deuterium tanker.

Yes, I like that one. He is right. It is a Klingon ship used in the Enterprise TV series. I want to get our Klingon Scout I to look more like it when I get around to it.

Kenneth, It is regrettable not to have thought of including for every empire a ship's model of fuel resupplying.

Various star trek games and mods use Hutet class starship as cardassian dreadnought, i don't know why dafedz didn't include that class name in our shiplist (In Botf 2 database it's name is Ranor or Koronak depending on tech status) .As you know Hutet is monster ship and there is a big number of Hutet models all over the net though they all look like crap. Few days ago I have found Hutet class modeled by Zorg, it's nice model and nicely textured though hull colors look unrealistic with aggressive orange color dominating. Actually Hutet is non canon ship, it was created for pc game ST: Dominion Wars since then you can find him in every star trek mod out there, I'v decided to rework Zorg's texture to match Hutet from ST: Dominion Wars box art. I wasn't succesful 100 % but i think it looks very good now and what is important it looks more realistic. 1. First image is Zorg's Hutet 2. Second image is cut from Dominion Wars box art 3. Third image is my revamp. I hope you will like it.

Yes that is a nice ship. Personally I would not get worked up over class name. That is especially true if it is non canon. I support whatever you chose to do for the dreadnoughts. I hope defedz will as well.

( Ranor- tech 8, Galor-tech 9) So what we need is to exchange models of Koronak and Ranor. @Kenneth- don't worry i won't change anything, it's little bit wierd for me that Hutet is called Koronak, that's all mate.

Since i'm the guy that has so far been implementing the database I know that it's easy to enter - or change - a class name in the database. Whilst i've never played any games that include the Hutet, I certainly know of the model thanks to Youtube, and i'd definitely like to see it ingame. One little comment I have about the model though Zeleni, and this may just be a matter of perspective in the image or my personal tastes, but it looks a little...stunted and fat to me. I personally would have made the body longer and slightly less fat. That would then straighten/flatten out the sides, slightly suggesting a design lineage with the Galor and Keldon and therefore making it more Cardassian-like. But like I said, it might be perspective or just my personal preference. The retexturing you did definitely made it more Cardassian-like though, and your remodelled Kraxon and Bakrus are sleek and sexy.

Yes, that is Consetoga class Colony ship for now we use placeholder image and model cause we don't have canon conestoga model yet.

Well not exactly, in legacy there is a challenger class ship very similar to this but with some differences.

About your suggestions Matress abot Hutet, they are justified. Like you i think Hutet is fat too. For long time i thought his appearance is result of bad modelling but i was surprised to see that wasn't the case. I have original concept made for ST: Dominion Wars and now you will see he is really fat monster though Zerg did few mistakes in modelling but doesn't affect it's overall appearance. Concept art:

Hmm ok then...maybe we could come up with a sleeker variant instead. I can see what you mean about the "mistakes" between the model and the concept art but yes, they are only minor except maybe the indentation just before the Nacelles. I didn't actually realise how huge the Nacelles were, and they're definitely different to those of previous ship designs; the Hutet has two large, straight Nacelles whilst previous designs double up on the Nacelles if they need more power. They also have a curved claw-like appearance, rather then being like a straight pair of scissors as with the Hutet. Interesting... ... As for the Conestoga, I play Legacy exclusively with the Aftermath mod. The Aftermath team have overhauled the models (And the "Challenger" is called the Discovery class in Aftermath) for their mod, so I suppose we could possibly ask them if we could borrow it. But yes, it does have some differences to the Enterprise Conestoga and is almost certainly more heavily armed.
