I just wrote a big post about missing emblems. I'm assuming they're missing because you haven't made them yet, not because we lost them. Thanks for the new image, Zeleni.

Stop thanking me i am part of crew Don't worry nothing is lost, all emblems are in last zip, i think there is about 50 races without emblem for now,probably i'll do 2 or 3 tonight.

Hehe I wonder how many people will recognise the Selay one as the symbol for Shadow the Hedgehog? The new Orion one is especially cool.

I never played Shadow, I'v spotted somewhere this shape and i was thinking this is a nice logo basis for star trek lizard race. This is the best Orion logo that you can find on the interenet, so our is now the best!

Given the number of emblems need to support the deep rich expanse of the game it is inevitable that we will barrow from other science fiction and fantasy. It just needs to be a subtle reference, as you have done, to look like homage instead of a rip off.

Tau was the leader of a notorious group of pirates who stole USS Voyager's main computer processor, a holographic emitter, and other items right through Voyager's shielding in 2374 using translocator technology. I did some redesign on his logo so we can use it as s pirate symbol in supremacy:

Cool. We could actually use the image for the Space Pirates random event, although we already have one for it to compete with. That's assuming we include pirates as a random event in the actual game, of course. Good work, Zeleni. All those hours you spent watching Trek episodes are really paying off. Your sacrifice was definitely worth it.

But that's less important than making the images in the first place.

3Gb? Sounds like you've been hoarding files! If you can send the files to me, I can sort them myself. Obviously 3Gb is hard to host, but if you can zip them up and upload to a file hosting site as time permits, I can sort through and assign them to the gaps we have. Alternatively upload them to Sharepoint, but Sharepoint can <sometimes> throw fits if you try to upload files bigger than 7mb. Captain Bashir doesn't seem to be having problems uploading the manual though, and that's around 10mb, so maybe it's playing nice at the moment.

I don't think so Malle as you know iit s very hard to find replacment images for such specific buildings.

I know, was worth a try . Since 99% of all the other images are done, these structures must remain as the last thing to do from now on or am I wrong about the timetable?

Few new emblems: Rakosan, Vidiians, Takret (race is not in database) and Bolian (old one is replaced)

Yeh I remember the Takret. In my spare free time I'm currently revisiting 'Enterprise', and watching all the episodes from the beginning. I'm sure a number of races will suddenly stand out, which I mised before.
Hmm, exactly how many races if Mike happy to have in this game?!

About half what we currently have lol. The more races that are in the game, the larger the ingame database and the slower galaxy generation and turn processing will be. But in my experience, the turn processing doesn't become a problem until after several hundred turns, and that's on a computer that is getting on 7 years old. (Pentium 4 @3.2Ghz and 1Gb RAM if you were wondering)
Mike has significantly improved the processing speed of the game compared to how it used to be, even though there's a lot of crap in the database that needs to be cleared out, (References to buildings that have been removed etc) but I won't be able to do that until the editor is working. (I've tried manually removing them but it causes the game to crash) The game won't be fully optimised until it's complete, but since the game is perfectly playable under current conditions, I personally don't think there's much of a problem with the database speed or size-wise.
