These wormholes look ok, but what I would suggest is you try blinding your layers a little better. It looks completely pasted on the background image. The spiral effect needs to have some transparency to it. and the 3 light cones you have are too straight nothing in nature occurs perfectly straight not even light. bring them into the liquefy tool in the PS filters. Also you can remove most of the extra flaring from your lens flare effect by using the patch tool.

Having an identity card showing all five empire emblems might make it look a bit weird. You could have a go at including starfleets suggestions, but i'm not sure how well it would work.

You're right Matress, maybe make 1 or 2 ID card on the left and make a flag without emblem on the right. For a generic image. What do you think about?
(or if you have another idea?)

the idea is a good suggestion the only problem is it makes the picture too busy and it losses the feel for the idea.

You're right. Also the text of this random event talk about several troops
Federation= The war with the _____ Empire has boosted troop enlistments. All we need now is enough ships to crew them with.
Maybe add another soldier a little small next to the guy already in place would give more sense to the picture.

Fini, looks great, what is next? I will leave it up to Matress to upload these. He has been doing that all along and I do not want to mess anything up or impose myself much on the 2D image work.

Maybe just having the engine not glow? Well listening to this comment I've reworked the Engine malfunction.

The engine one looks like the ship has just that moment dropped out of Warp, as though the engine distortion effect is still there. Cool. Images Sharepointed. Don't worry about uploading them, Kenneth, as long as you maintain the naming convention of the files then they will show up correctly in the first post of the thread. Just make sure you rename the file correctly before you upload them to Sharepoint or it will glitch if a file with the same name already exists when you try to rename it after uploading.

About the Engine malfunction, the text is talking about impulse engine malfunction, it could be modified to talk about Warp engine malfunction because there is a Warp engine on the picture.

That's easy enough to do. Quote: Engine Malfunction Receive a small Propulsion research bonus The engineers on one of our Starships have come up with a new design for matter/antimatter injectors. They were inspired to replace the existing systems on their vessel when the injectors failed, preventing the vessel from achieving Warp velocity and temporarily stranding it in space. The new design crucially boasts both greater reliability and higher injection rates, which in turn promises greater speed. The new designs will become a standard part of future Warp Cores, and the engineers have received commendations for their exciting new designs. K R C D

Ooh wow, Andromeda and Farscape. God I loved those series...well, except for the last season of Andromeda with their halved special effects budget, and Farscape's slow plunge into psychotic weirdness. But they both started out great.
