As for the end... ...who else thinks Rush shows up in that crashed alien ship after a couple episodes?

Of course. It incriminates him - Raises question as to why Rush didn't return. However, he could have truthfully said that he and Rush got into a fight and rush was knocked out. Understandably, he ran back to the stargate and still only made it with a few seconds to spare. There was no way that he could have carried Rush back and both of them make it in time. I would have understood the circumstances if I were on the ship. And yes... I thought about him coming back in the ship. However I thought it more likely that he gets inside, does some repairs and makes a radio call to its alien owners. Another writer's possibility would be that the guy with "expanded chair knowledge" wakes and figures out how to turn the ship around and go back for Rush.

I can understand Rush. I would love to discover more of the ship. To hell with getting home.

Stargate Universe aires on Friday again. Have you seen the trailer? It looks like they're going to rev it up a bit. http://stargate.mgm.com/view/content/2061/index.htmlBashir

Tonight is the night. STU revs up (we hope). The trailer may include action from 6-7 new episodes. Captain

The trailer looks amazing, but the trailer for the first half of the season did too so I'm not holding my breath. I really hope someone throws the stones out the window. Or uses some C4. Or just smashes them with a sledgehammer. The aliens look good. I was expecting humanoids like the Go'auld, but it looks quite shiny.

Ha, it does doesn't it. There isn't supposed to be action in there, but for those who are allergic, we print this warning. We hope the trailer isn't showing us all the action for the rest of the season. And yes, bring on the aliens and get rid of the stones. "Now THAT would be one sweet PO-TA-TO" The Captain.

I've just watched the new episode. Well, I don't want to give away any spoilers, but it was really really good (compared to the previous episodes that is)

In SG1 and especially Atlantis, I began liking the crew immediately. This one is taking some time. However, in addition to those above, I also like the Ronald Greer Character. CB

Ok so I just watched "Space" and it suddenly realized that the writing style is reminding me of the writing style for LOST. There is a background mystery to this series that they are dropping hints for in every episode. Who thinks the alien heads are a workover of the Crystal Skull in the last Indiana Jones movie? Oh and Mike, we both called it. Ship too damaged to fly - activated a location beacon while he was playing around with it. Capt. Bashir

I thought the latest episode was far better than the vast majority of the previous 10. Sure, there are still some things wrong with it, but this is a major step in the right direction. I so hope they continue not to use the stones.

If they just had more aliens, more offship and have progressed a bit on the ship more i.e find somit cool and fix the darkness of the ship i think it would be alot better. Also they need to sort the relationship stuff out and get a togetherness going and aiming for a goal instead of all the crap about this that and the other. If they sorted that out i think it has a chance.

I agree with you Skeeter. They need to develop more working chemistry between members of the crew. They need to find more things and rooms on the ship like exploring Atlantis. It's implied but not seen. In this last episode they had lights and things for gardening. I'm sure no one had time to grab ultraviolet lighting and a bag of tomato seeds before jumping through the wormhole. It's ancient 10,000 year old Tomato varieties that don't taste so hot. CB

It just occurred to me that the Destiny Crew has one of the Alien shuttle/fighter ships attached to their hull that can be studied. I wonder if the writers are going to take that anywhere, or if it will just be forgotten? CB

So I'm a little confused. They find another ship attached to the bottom of destiny and it has a tracking device in it (a ship they didn't know was there). But there is the one Rush and Chloe came back in. Why doesn't that one have a tracking device in it too? You could say they already jettisoned the Rush/Chloe escape ship except that there really is no feasible way to do it except from the alien ship itself. Will this other ship play a role later or just be forgotten? If I was Rush or Eli or any of the other scientists, I would be all over that thing trying to figure it out. The Captain

That's explained in the episode in a subtle way. The one with the tracking device (supposedly) is detached forcefully. literally as the shuttle fires on it to do that. Therefore, if there was no other way do that without having someone in the shuttle (even a timed thing) then using the shuttle to do the job would be probable. And we know from what they said that the aliens were probably tracking the destiny for, well, a long time, and we did see that ship detaching at the end of Air Pt 3.

Not necessarily. Rush keeps talking about how the aliens have been tracking the ship for a "long time, probably even before we arrived", but he also states - we have to assume correctly - that the aliens have never broken through the shields. If that's the case, an alien ship couldn't have attached itself to the hull, or they would have captured Destiny a long time before the team even arrived. So there has to be another tracking device, or another means for them to track it.
One thing I don't understand though, is the Borg-like mentality. They've been trying to get through the shield for a long time. They know that one ship alone can't break through the shields. Three ships couldn't do it either. So why not send an Armada if you want it that bad? And if you've been trying for that long, why have you suddenly increased your attacks if you know that the team - that Rush says is unimportant to them since they only want the ship - is now suddenly onboard?
