OH NOES! [puts mike back together again]. You can't go exploding every time some person (or Evil Romulan Overlord of Evil) comes along and gives you something else to think about . Now, about your previous analogy to Duke Nukem Forever... what part about it's development process unnerves you? I was just wondering. BTW, in case you were wondering if you're the only one who gets bugged, I'm about to send Matress a giant list of Random Event Descriptions lol. OK then, back to work

the receipt for ongoing failures.. btw. when rethinking , the diplomatic relationships with Gomtuu et al. idea isn't even that bad. Very trekky, find new lifeforms, talk to them, get them on your side, make peace with them. a cool new feature

Or at my place, every year a group of Americans from Atlanta visits my town. They teach informatics class in my school, I'm not sure what will be the subject this year (perhaps java).

Actually... if anyone is planning on going to any Trek conventions, or to Dragon*Con (which happens to be in Atlanta where I live), let me know. We could grab some blood wine and maybe even recruit some new minions. I think there's a Trek convention in Vancouver this year, and I wouldn't mind flying up there. It's a beautiful city.
I've been thinking about pushing the Dragon*Con people to do a Fan Game Development workshop as part of either their gaming track. I think it'd be fun to do a presentation on the BotF2 project, since it has a rather interesting history (lots of examples of what not to do leading up to a couple projects that have actually made significant progress). If they don't go for it, I might be able to maneuver my way onto the Star Trek Gaming panel. Would anyone be interested in flying into Atlanta if I can pull something like this off?

You can count me in on all those locations. Well maybe not the self-flagellation conference in Darfur but all the rest. I see that the biggest Star Trek Convention is in again this year. We could take in the new Star Trek the Experience bar and rides scheduled to reopen this year. Can we abduct a guy to build a 3D engine? I was surprised to see you had not already lined out the final feature set for the game. Let us know when and what you do. In the mean time I am asking Ron Thornton of if we can use an image of his Romulan Senate Model for the game. Check out what he and his company are doing now at the link. If Slim's related feature gets cut that is no problem. I am sure we can still find a place to slip in that fine art work. I have ordered some new gear to help translate the other images into finished 2560 x 1600 backgrounds. More on that in two or three weeks.

On the backdrop thing, I just had someone PM me about working on graphics for the game. He sounds pretty adept with Photoshop and texturing, so I was thinking maybe he could improve the textures on some of our models and do the actual compositing of the backdrop scenes (even if someone else does the modeling). Anyhoo, we should probably shift this conversation out of the pre-release thread and continue it in a more appropriate place.

You would still need to take a taxi, coach, or bus to get here. The nearest train station is 12 miles away.

I'm not living in Wales anymore, I had to move for the new job that I started 6 weeks before Christmas. I'm living in Devon now. Check out my location in my profile.

Let's see..... if I go to Scotland over the summer.... then its only 8 hours from Edinburgh to Devon...... maybe I can go visit Matress.... we can spend the time concocting new ways to annoy Mike Hmmm.... I'm sensing a race to see who gets to visit Matress first lol. Oh well, back to work.
