All good suggestions - There are still a lot of structures to add. That is especially true just outside the last ring wall. - will keep that in mind as I plug away.

hi there !!!
Well, i´ve offered to help with as much as i can, so Kenneth_of_Borg drop me a big ROCK.
I´ve downloaded the Klingon images, and start this weekend with the intel/espionage one.
I will start just modelling without lights and material, just standard.
See you and have a nice weekend

Still a work in progress. I am experimenting with material and lighting as more detail is added.

Noticed there is not an image of this in the thread. I need to check back to make sure I am keeping the general layout in mind. There needs to be a ship and some Romulans.

Busy with family and work but some art is still getting done. The city needs filling in and there are still no Romulans to be seen.

Very nice work, can't wait to see it with lots of people. Btw some good news and bad news from me. The good news is i modelled the cannons and made some improvements to the Dominion Diplomacy scene. The bad is that i'm gonna be inactive for 9 weeks. I got accepted into the Royal Air Force and i start my training on the 1st of September. When i finish my basic and start my trade training i'll have more free time so i'll get it all finished then. I'll have limited internet until then so i'll try to stop by and keep track of how things are going Attachment:

Why do the RAF need computer modellers? Are you going to make models of the Taliban or something? Paint targets on their backs hehe. Anyways, I just made your Air Marshalness official hehe. We're going to miss your updates mate. Enoy your training and stay safe. Remember, the propellers need to keep turning for you to stay up in the air.

I got some ideas for more of the Romulan city. Here is a photo outside the Romulan Senate. That guy in the painting over the gate looks rather human to me but what the hey.

As a resident Romulan, I'm offended at the idea of a Communist Romulan Empire. LOL. J/K.
Would be nice to see real-life influences in the pictures of Romulan architecture.

Well Klingons were supposed to be the communists in Star Trek and their architecture resembles early Chinese architecture.
Now the Romulans were imagined as modern Roman empire but I also read that they were also influenced by both North Korea and Yugoslavia(at the time Yugoslavia still exsisted) North Korea - isolationism, Yugoslavia - constant variation of cooperation and conflicts with SSSR (ST - Klingons)

And the Klingon language was created from American native and Oriental including Mongol origins. The Mongols also served as inspiration for the warrior race.

This is the old Romulan Summer Palace. I have seen a lot more in interested, good and bad architecture for the Romulan capital city. More on that later.

Hello there !!!, i really like what you´ve done with the romulan senate Kenneth, it´s better and better with each new upload. Sorry to dissapear for so long, i just changed from job, and well, it´s consuming all my time, but now i could addapt , and well, i think i have more time for me !!! I´ve started to experiment with klingon spionage image, with the ground most of all, using a technique called v-ray map displacement, that allows to paint in photoshop for example, a certain figure in white and black colors, then in 3D max you apply this map displacement and the white color goes high and the black down, a kind of bump. Well it didn´t look so good , so i´ve decided to do the ground manually, not to complex, because i think with a nice terrain texture will work fine too. Hope to have something nice to show shortly, i don´t want to dissapoint you Live long and prosper

I decided to keep the Romulans to a minimum. It looked cluttered with a lot of them in there.
I can always do more on it but feel the need to move on at this point. That completes the Romulan backdrops.
This is a low res version below. I will put the full res on SharePoint.[*]

Wow, beautiful. Can you render the more complex buildings in a more blue-green light so that I could turn them into structure images.

Ooh that would be a nice touch if the structure images were also in the backgrounds. Two thumbs up on this awesome piece of work, Kenneth. I'd give you three thumbs up but i'm not 8472.
