Yes, I know what you mean. It is obvious that it's the people's choice that makes a success in a film or a game. That is why I am always asking around for every ones taste. I cannot rely only on myself to create songs exactly because of that. As for myself, as you see, I am versatile, on purpose, to induce a choice. Some may like, some less and some not at all. I must stay open minded if I want to be creative.

And it is true that Orchestral music gives a Serious feel to a film or a game.

Being conscious of that, and also that a new game is demanding new styles in, be it music or images or animation, I am always ready to "hop" from a color of music to another, abiding to people's demands and tastes. To me, music must be a real good meal that everyone should "eat" with appetite. So it is natural that I ask around for the ingredients.

I have now friends here that are always hungry for more, with forks and knives ready to carve in the feast I offer them.
And that, my friend, makes me jump with joy! :bigthumb:
Thank you for your confidence in me. As for the Gold pip, I'm getting to it!
Have a very nice day!

And Captain Bashir, my "Mea"(Latin for Ego) side says that you couldn't have better "Souled" (Am I inventing a new word here?) this feeling. It was like an osmose of minds, where two thoughts collide. Are we Sublime?!

My mind: "Cool it off Ego!"
Ego:"No, it was just a joke!"
My mind: "EGO...!"
Ego:" No, really, it was a joke, only a joke!"

Ok Friends, I'm back! You now have 3 unheard songs in SharePoint.

As soon as you have time, I'd like to have your words on those ones.
Thank you!

Great day to you all!

The new Event 2m05_Gino Véziau is also great for the Dominion.

Well, looks like I'm stuck in the Dominion's web! :jem:  Would it fit in a window event? I'm taking note of everywhere it may go.
Looks like I'll have to listen more to some other race to complete the collection.
Thank you vjeko1701 for listening.
Good day to you!

Event 08_1m47 does sound positive. It sound like a positive event with wonder. It also could be Cardassian espionage window.

Event 2m05 is very nice as well and here I think it really should be a window song. Why not us it as Cardassian science or map?

Hi, Kenneth_of_Borg! Looks like you could use Internet where you are? Glad to read from you.
I've noted your suggestions.
Thank you very much, my friend!

Ok Friends!
Thank you for all your appreciations!
I made a First list of the songs we think would best fit and the classification they should have. It is incomplete as we cannot decide for every song. If you wish to edit to add or change this list, go right ahead! I will keep on taking notes for this occasion.
Gino Véziau The Great Link = Theme Map for Dominion
" " Dominion Nostrum = Diplomacy (This is the full and complete name and says it for itself)
" " Cloak = Diplomacy or Encounter with Klingon
" " Days to die = Science for Klingon
" " When faith burns = Espionage for ?
Eric James New Worlds = Colonies for ?
Gino Véziau Cardassian Encounter = Encounters with Cardassian
" " Bethel's voice = minor race Encounter
" " CCDwarf = Science or Battle for strange events
" " Sting Carve = Espionage or Battle
" " Serene Voice 17s = Religious Holidays or Science finding
" " My Men 30s = Terraforming or Alliance for a member of major species (could be best suited for Federation)
Gino Véziau Event_2m05 = Cardassian Science or Map
" " Event_08_1m47 = Positive long event or Cardassian Espionage

And so this is my partial list of all of your observations, Thanks to all of you! . I guess we're going somewhere now from where we were before. From what I see, there are still some events missing and more songs to be done. As we go on with our future findings, I will update this list and re-write it in another topic.
I guess this will help advancing further in the game coding. Thank you all again and :bigthumb: for your great participation up to now! Hope I didn't bug this forum with those colors !! If so, please alert me so I never do it again.
Have a Super day!
Happytrek

The list looks good. We will know more when the new release. We move to a boat on the Li River in the next two days. It is unlikely the boat has internet. I will be back when I get here.

I thought this song had been lost (I couldn't find it anywhere) so It's uploaded it again on SharePoint. In Encounters and Events for those who haven't heard it yet.

Sting Carve_2m03_Gino Véziau

Thank you!

I have Edited this message because I have uploaded it once more.

Hi, guys! Here's another one on SharePoint Encounters and Events: Event 10_Theme_1m50_Gino Véziau.
That makes two you haven't heard yet! No offense intended!
Happy day!

Beautiful compositions, here is what I think:

Event 09_2m26_Gino Véziau.WAV - Cardassian colony or perhaps research screen

Event 10_ Theme_1m50_Gino Véziau.WAV - Federation victory music (when you win the game) if there will be such a thing. I mean it's perfect for it. Start is a bit slow, followed by energetic part for victory, then a bit sad slowed down part for all the lives lost to accomplish victory and then the final celebration highly energetic part. Simply brilliant

Hi vjeko1701!
I'm happy that you're back with me.
Thank you very much for all those compliments. Gee, you have a way of explaining things that is simply awesome! :winkthumb:
And thank you for your appreciation of how you see it in the game.
I will update my list and maybe name them. I'm not sure yet.

Have a marvelous day, my friend!

I agree with vjeko about both of them. Without a victory yet defined for us I would say leave event_10 in the good event folder for now.

Hi Kenneth_of_borg! Happy to read from you!

Thank you also for your appreciation. I had the list for the Random Events from Matress_of_evil. Impressive! :bigthumb:
I also know that I'll be reducing my Random Events to 4 or 5 seconds approximately, so the next ones I will compose will be much more shorter tunes. except of course if I get an inspiration in between!

Are you back home already or still in China?

Right now it's rainy over here. The perfect time to compose. :bolian:

Have a great day!

Hi guys! I uploaded another one on SharePoint Encounters and Events,
Event 12_2m00_Gino Véziau.

And I tried for a few days with this one and it wouldn't upload. I even tried it a few times today but without any more success.
If someone can put it on SharePoint_Encounters and Events_ I'd be happy!
Just tell me when you do. Thank you!

http://www.mediafire.com/?ocv54ax9dab0p4b Theme Sng_3m02_Gino Véziau

Sadly, when it comes to uploading a 3 minutes file, I get a crash on SharePoint. At 2Mins or less, no problem. . Excuse me, I don't want to waste anyone's time but I want you to have the most songs as fast as possible so that we can continue to update the game.

Thanks again and Good day to all!
Happytrek

Thanks for asking. I am still in China but will leave soon. I am at the Shanghai airport waiting for a flight. The mission for the Tal Shiar was completed on time.

Leave the link for the song up and I will try to upload when I get home. That is if someone has not done it for us by then.

I would think the songs for the user windows will be played a lot more than the events.

Event-12_2m00_Gino Véziau.WAV - hmm, perhaps a Romulan science window.

Theme Sng_3m02_Gino Véziau_2.WAV Romulan colony window

Great stuff as usual, I would like to help you but I have the same problem with sharepoint when trying to upload anything bigger than 10-15mb.

Thanks for the help. For now, the link is still there.

I agree with you. I will have to finish the window events first then. I'll look in my list as to where I am standing right now.
Take care and welcome home!

Thanks vjeko1701! I will update my list and put it here later, when we have more themes done.
So then there it will be, with the Romulans.

No problem for the link, friend! :winkthumb: If no one can do it now, Kenneth_of_borg will help when he comes back.

Good day to you vjeko1701!

I have made a Random Event on SharePoint_Encounters and Events_Bad Events
I called it Alert_7s_Random Event 01_Gino Véziau. It's 7 seconds long with a Red Alert sound and some Shooting with a Low Horn music. Very short, ideal for Random section.

As usual, it's your call friends!

Thank you!
