Only days after its' launch, the Xbox Kinect has already been hacked. An MIT student has now hacked the Kinect to create a robot that could theoretically be used in disaster situations to help find people that are trapped and follow their directions. It can even create a 3D map of its' surroundings, which could then be used to guide a swarm of other robots to perform search-and-rescue missions.
Just imagine being rescued by "the swarm".
