I remember the last time we tried to do Skype. Gavin was still around back then. Euch that makes me feel old.

I had a load of problems with Skype back then though. I hope the thing actually works now if you want me involved.

Wow I haven't been on in a long time... too much to do in life. Anywho, I agree with the Skype idea. It's always nice to actually TALK to people about ideas . It's also easier to process that way. Alrighty, I think this is the shortest post I've ever written :S.......

So when are we going to do it? Since we're from all around the world, *someone* is probably either going to have to stay up late or get up early.

And does Skype cost anything?

It'll be interesting to hear each others voices too. Me and Skeet have already talked to each other through a game called World of Tanks, and i've heard Jig and Mike speak before, but the rest of you are still a mystery. Hope our accents don't cause any problems!

Lol i think last time we tried skype moe was when most people was still on dial up. Hopefully with us on fast connections now quality wont be much of an issue.

Well I'm in GMT+1 so time zone isn't a problem for me, but accents might be.

I don't have Skype installed anymore Skeet. In fact, i'm not even using the same computer as last time lol. I'll have to reinstall it, which may mean setting up a new account or something.

Doesnt matter if u uninstalled it moe. Just reinstall it using ur old account and if you forgot the details to log in your username is matress_of-evil and im sure u can recall your password using the "forgot password" feature.

Btw skype can be used a txt message thing like msn to leave messages and such or txt conversations. If you dont want to use voice.

Ooooh yay skype! Sorry I've been having too good a day recently... if anyone wants to add me in skype I am misspola359 (plz don't ask why I chose that... I don't even have the answer to that question). As for a meeting time... what geographical region is everyone from (for example, I'm from Ontario, Canada)? If we can get a list of geographical locations (we can probably scrounge most of them from the forums ), then we can calculate the probable best time for everyone. It also depends on how many people are gonna be a part of this. More people = more geographical locations = more calculating down the road. If you guys want, I can make this list. And yes, if you guys know your time zones, then it'll go much faster . OK that's all I have to add for now .....

Well i'm reinstalling skype. It's so far taken 10 minutes and it will apparently take another 20 minutes to install. Is that normal?

As for locations, Me, Skeet, Jig, and Dafedz are all from the UK.

I'm from Croatia. We are in GMT+1, so that's just one hour added to the UK time.

@MoE: pretty normal. I forget exactly how long it took to install skype for me. It DOES take a while though. Oh well. OK I will start compiling that list of times... hmmm I wonder if Mike will become involved with this? If he does I'll have to add his region to the list... hmmm I also wonder if the United Kingdom is all one time zone? I'll have to check. BAH RESEARCH! Oh well it certainly beats doing Chemistry (which is due Thursday, so don't yell at me. Please. )............

Yes, the UK is all in one timezone. Although if the idiot politicians have their way then the UK will soon be permanently in the same timezone as Vjeko. (No offense V, but I think it's a bad idea)

YAY this makes my job much, much easier! OK then I will finish up that time chart.....

Hmmmm well I have just finished compiling that time chart. First of all, I assumed that the average "peak hours" for most people would be from around 8am-4pm. If this is true, then the chart tells us that there is a 3-hour window for skype on the weekends (I can't do weekdays, school and all, and this could be the case for others too). Anywho, I'm posting the chart as an attachment. I've bolded and coloured the times where myself, Matress & Jig & Skeet & Dafedz, and Vjeko are all within the 8am-4pm timeframe.

EDIT: In case you just wanted the times and not have to go through the entire chart to get them, this was the 3-hour window:

for Captain Andrew: 8-10 AM

for Matress, Jig, Dafedz, and Skeeter: 1-3 PM

for Vjeko: 2-4 PM

Well Skype has finally finished installing. It took about 30 mins. And I have an i3 Processor overclocked to 4.2 Ghz for gods sake!
