I am more than half done now with the special effects for the destruction of the Death Star. Sorry it is taking so long. I need to remember to use the force. Especially on April 1st! And I am readying Darth Vader's voices and laser swords sounds. May the force be with you! Obi Wan HappyKenobi

Yes, my friend is just contacting Lucas and John Williams in order to get the original soundtrack from the films. I hope it will help you with the Rebellion intro.

Yes good idea! While you at it, please ask them for pictures of their laser swords, I'll have to time the sound with the impacts. In the 3rd Episode, they are boarded by the Imperial Army, and the laser swords stops the rays from their guns. This is the sound I need for the intro. It is a sort of electric crackling sound, followed by a ricochet noise. I searched but no results. As for Darth Vader's voice, I'll try talking with a big can over my mouth. With a little reverb, it should give interesting results.

I'll do my best to get it. If everything else fails, I have a physicist in my family. I'll just ask him to construct a lightsaber and a blaster. I'll then simply record the sound.

Good Idea vjeko! I have an uncle also that has an old Falcon worn ship, before he sells it, I will ask him to record the sound of banging on the console to get it working. I need this sound also. I tried banging on my studio console but now I need to have it reviewed. It records squeaks and Bzzzt! which I don't need for my work.. Does one of you have some twine?

Great work vjeko! It reminds me of Voyager when they were in a parallel world. They were like pirates, they were the bad ones.

Thanks my friend. This is from the mirror universe episodes TOS: "Mirror Mirror", DS9:"Crossover"; "Trough the Looking Glass"; "Shattered Mirror"; "Resurrection" and "The Emperor's New Cloak" I also added to the upper post the alliance insignia. They are based on these images:

Looks good Vjeko.
I have sent the Klingon main sequence for post production to Phil and for audio to Gino. The next chance I get I will come up with my suggestions for sound effects and timing. Then it is on to vanilla, I mean the Federation

Well some of us were planning a mod of the game set in the Mirror universe. I mean it wouldn't be that much of work, a bit of retexturing, some manipulation of the data files and that's that. No code changes needed, no new models...

I have come up with a better looking formula for torpedoes guys. They are looking more Star Trek. It is not clear how much longer to put it all into one video but with lock by this weekend.

Wow, I didn't even see this version of the video with better torpedoes and minor ships. The only thing that still bothers me a bit is that red glow in space.

Great work Phil. The flares are just right. It looks like the stars in the background are gone though. Is that just a YouTube thing? The red is from the second local star. It is a binary star system.

You did a great job Kenneth but yeah, the stars in the background are gone. The torpedoes are exactly what I remember from films and that flare comes right in the good place Phil! Your banner looks good in there also vjeko! Superb work everyone! I'm working on the audio right now. There will be about 30 tracks in there, if not more counting all the shots, explosions and other effects. Believe me, it will be Astonishing! A lot of work but Stupendous!

I tired making the stars larger but it looked bad in higher definition. If the light was a single source and as harsh as in space it would make the ships look bad and be hard to make out in some angles. Having the extra sources of light and more diffuse light is used in trek for that reason. Also the red just looks cool on the Klingon ships.

In the interest of the higher definition quality I will not go after the star on YouTube. We are working out the final details on the Klingon Intro and should have it in a few days or so.
