I also have one more thing I noticed, the lighting in the final scene is a bit strange, the ships have no shadows, it's like they aren't lighted but are actually the ones glowing light.

If it's just me, ignore this...

Federation intro:

some suggestions though, mind you just suggestions

at :19 the music gets really loud, I always feel weird when I mention something about my voice overs :S but it just seems like its a bit on the hard side to hear after that point, some parts I kinda talk quiet.

at :22 you see the ship from behind, and the ship moves to the right, I think, and might you just a suggestion it would be cool if the camera turned with the ship. you know what I mean? it's based behind it then the ship turns but the camera stays straight on

at :37 as it comes up to the enterprise it's AWESOME with the light flash from the top of the ship, but perhaps a longer pause on the enterprise name here? and then as the ship moves the camera stays still and then turns later. Perhaps have the camera stay on the name and follow it with a turn. so instead of seeing the name and then it moves off, then we turn and see all the ships, instead, keep the camera's position and turn it with the ship passing then as it gets further the other ships appear.

I say this because as the ships fly by the camera is moving then pauses...then goes back to moving but the pause is not really looking at anything just a suggestion asides from that AWESOME, the music is perfect, the echo effect on my voice is awesome, the flash from the engines, the lights, good stuff :D I also like how the ships moving off become the emblem, good stuff :D

Ok, I found this to be the newest version of the Romulan script, I may be wrong though.

I did record this already yes?

Thanks guys, those are all good points. I am making a list of changes for round two. Making a list but trying to get stuff ready for the next update. The one suggestion I may have trouble with is at :22 as the nebula is a flat image with edges. Turing the camera will show the edge. The movement is an illusion anyway. The ship turns in place, One image moves in slightly and the other is a texture that scales up to make it look like you are getting closer. There is a three point lighting going on but I need to differentiate the colors better as it is in the first sequnce.

The new Romulan text is the last suggestion from Vjeko after you, Blaze, recored the earlier lines. I am not sure I am 100 per cent on the new lines and would, if you do not mind, try a female voice here anyway. As in the original game Romulan intro I hope to have at least one female Tal'Shiar figure seen.

Nice start Kenneth!

Spoiler: show
I would have liked to see it poured in a stylized glass to show the color. Maybe Mike could add this as a trade item or special event, like one get drunk with that stuff and destroys a part of the ship. or smashed in a planet in a publicity for "don't drink and drive". Would be fun!..

First time I try the spoiler thing. Cool!

This is a starting point for a Romulan Female. I hope to make her into Tal'Shiar
and animate the face a bit. A face rig, as in Avatar, is no small task. Wish I
had their help.

I'm sure you can do it Kenneth, I have no doubt on this. :winkthumb: . Was she the Beta Counselor? Disguised?

She's very nice

Not to ask too much but I'd like her to have expression on her face, like suspicion or concentration, and yeah her face and eyes should move. After all, she's a spy.
:shifty: If it is possible...
I just had a flash! She could be hiding behind some structure, and just before she runs away, her eyes and head shift from left to right and zoom! She's gone!
Lovely Zeita. So efficient... :orion:

The first thing will be getting closer to the helmet hair that Romulans have. Then I need to get even closer to a Romulan uniform look for the clothing.

I am in the middle of reworking the lighting and hair as well as rendering the first test of facial movement. This is just a work in progress shot to prove I am not yet dead. There is still a lot of work to do. The lighting is especially bad here but the hair is more Romulan.

I am working on the rig that will let me animate the neck, head and face.
Yes, dark is key, will us film noir lighting on the Tal'Shiar.

Thanks guys, it's not actually goofing, I was searching for an apartment in Zagreb a signing in (for a lack of a better phrase) to my collage... I also went to see my team (Dinamo Zagreb) playing in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.

If I understand right, you have to calculate a lot of parameters to make her move? Awesome job to do Kenneth! :shifty: You are at ease with this but to me it's like a blackboard with hieroglyphs... To each his thing!
She is still nice on all sides.

The rectangles represent the placement of "bones" for control of the body parts. The long "bones" in the back are for the chest, neck and head. The head "bone" ties into the parts of the head to drive rotational movement be it turning or tilting up and or down. The pairs for the eye include the look-at targets, small boxes out front of the eyes, that control eye "bones" rotation that in turn control the eyeballs. This whole set is a sub dependant of the head bone for the starting position. The other boxes lined up down the midline control chin to bow facial parts. Here I was planning only to have paired motions from side to side. That makes it easier to build and control. That mean that a blink, with both eyelid set left and right top and bottom, works off a single "bone" having different directions of rotation driven by one linear movement of the bone. Grab that bone and pulling it up makes her blink. That makes it easier to manipulate when I program it into the animation sequence. It is the same way with a smile. Both sides of the mouth are pulled up under the control of one "bone." Now are you sorry you asked or what?

No I'm not. In fact, I'm kinda happy you explained it to me. Thanks a lot friend!
So then, you could also move the eyes (small boxes) from left to right independently from the head? I'm asking that because when a person turns the head, usually the eyes do not stay fixed straight ahead, they shift in the corner of the orbit where the subject is to turn his head. Well at least that's what I do. It takes a fraction of a second but I guess it looks more natural. Correct me if I'm wrong. Is that what you intended to do or am I totally out of it?

 Happytrek

Yes, it will allow for these combined motions. The head "bone" will move the whole collection of parts. That is the eyeballs stay in the sockets but are free to turn around their centers. The look-at bones drive the rotation in the eye sockets and are placed where the eyes will look.
