Oh wow the Fortunate is going to be the best model we have! One comment about the scaffolding: it's odd that it would just end as it does. You said the images are hard to interpret, so perhaps some artistic licence is needed? Or maybe even ask Doug himself? I'd personally continue the scaffolding forwards and join it onto the forward thrusters or whatever those front pods are. Sorry for mucking up your image Bashir, but here's a Matress animation of what I mean.

Thanks for the encouraging suggestion. (I love your animations) Not to worry, I am not done yet. Is it easy to contact Doug D? I would like to get the bottom right.

Well if you love my animations then you'll be surprised to know that I make them in M$ Paint. I actually only made two images, then I used a morphing program to morph between the three images (Your original plus my two images). Pretty easy really. As for contacting Doug...umm...maybe he has contact details on His Site?

Did I somehow get the impression that vjeko or someone else - maybe it was you, Kenneth - knew how to contact him directly? Bashir

I had left a comment on his site and got a response. I do not have a direct line.

So here is some update work on the Bottom. I think the scaffolding DOES go on. I added some narrow fins that stick down and other bottom nurnies. I'll try posting to Doug Drexler, Kenneth.

Hmmmm, good point... Otherwise the atmosphere could leak out.
On another note. I can't figure out how to post to Drex's blog. I can't really find it. The Bash is at my place
Edit: Cancel that, I figured it out and posted.

I have been working on Cardassian Space docks for ship construction in Supremacy. I post this to let site fans know that there is lots of work going on for this game. Clockwise from lower left - Shipyard I, Shipyard II, Shipyard III, and Fleetyard. These are close but not necessarily final.

Thanks - Can you believe 89,440 polygons? I actually redid the other one. The side structures didn't bend at such a sharp angle. They were more curved in their entire length. While I was at it, I super-detailed other things. Don't worry. Twill be easy to reduce polygons for the 3D version.

You know this would be a good image to put on Facebook. We haven't had an update on there in a while. People will love to see this image.

You should make your own account, it's great to stay in touch with people and it's not that addictive as people say.

Here are some New Klingon Images in Development for the game. Clockwise from upper left. Canon Klingon Great Hall, Klingon Gravitic Power Station, Klingon Working Party (the Klingon lab) and Klingon Hall of Warriors. Center is the Klingon Deep Space Array. This is just to let site members know we are working on things.

I wish I had even 10% of your skill; they are truly great. It might be my graphics setup on this machine but the lower left one looks wonderful but the square icons on the walls look separate from the structure. Sort of slightly out of place, it’s hard to explain, I'm no good with art terms. By the way if all the images are any thing like these, you guys will have a wonderful product, beautiful work so far.

Thanks, you are too kind. You are correct, the square icons are separate from the structure. They started out as flags hanging straight down from poles on the side of the building. After looking at it a while, we decided it looked too "King Arthur" and the Klingon's are more "Genghis Khan" if anything. So I moved the flags into position as banners hanging down the side of the sloped wall. The back story is that the building has seven corners with towers and seven banners for the seven original founding houses of Klingon. Right now my Avatar is one of the banners. vjeko1701 did the banner designs and he happens to be using one as his avatar too. You are probably aware of the Great Hall from the Next Generation series. What I realized when modeling it was that the large piece on the front that contains the Klingon symbol was painted in an impossible way, not in perspective but straight toward you (the Klingon symbol too), even though everything else was in perspective. The talented artist was probably being rushed. I don't have any choice but to do it right in a 3D CGI program.

Yup makes sense, I was only meaning that the squares look lower detail, maybe less pixels or something than the building they are on, making it look slightly out of place. Maybe darker icons, or with cloth texture, not sure, as I said I'm not the greatest with art, but wanted to give you some feedback, because so far all the art I'm seeing is great. Wow never noticed that until you pointed it out, I think you are right, either that or they did it on purpose to make the symbol more clear to the audience, but one would think there are better ways, like tilting the entire building... *shrug* I like yours anyways, makes me want to play like a dune/C&C/etc Star Trek edition, I can imagine that as a structure. Is it completely in 3d or was it drawn from that angle?
