Oh yes, drawn with a 3D program. I can give you any angle on the building you want. Tonight I'll post the new orbital batteries for the different races.
Glad you both like the images. I think the reason the banners look lower pixel may be the colors as you suggest.

Thanks to both of you. I constantly tweak these images so hopefully they'll only get better. Kaladin you'll get a rank pip after twelve more posts. Love the participation. It's great when the site has lots of activity. I am working on the industrial replicator right now. Also maybe some changes to the Klingon Working Party (lab), and gravitic power station.

I check the site usually 2 maybe 4 times a week, lately more, but its pretty dead around here lately. I've been lurking on these forums for a while, even back when you had the old ones, perhaps these but they looked much different and I think the site was different. I finally registered 1-2 years later (I forget). Funny thing, I found you guys through a link on Wikipedia.
You guys should have something like Friday (or any day) is "Sneak Peak day" where you release something interesting or do an interview or something. Example:
- Intro to the Supremacy project - Interview with Mike (10 questions), or others - Quick overview of how we create the art (+ some pictures) - Sneak Peak (new screenshot) - Discussion about a new/potential feature - Sneak Peak (new music) - Sneak Peak (New intro video) - Progress Report - Overview of the scope of the project or a feature - etc.
Stick it in one spot so people that come looking at the forums can catch up quick and stay interested. I know you guys occasionally do some of the above but its often hidden in some of the other threads.

I couldn't agree more. There is something afoot that may make it possible to do some or all of what you list in an easier way.

Nemitor is the one he is talking about. He has plans for a better BOTF2 site.

Hey Kaladin, your next reply makes you a cadet. Congratulations. Here is an update on the Klingon images. Added Bat'leth statue to the Hall of warriors - lower left corner.

They look great. I like that they appear to be buildings of historic importance with the masonry wall and medieval architecture. That said I was wondering about the Klingon Gravitic Power Station. Would it be built with masonry wall or some more modern materials? Would it look better with a different texture? Even the interior of Klingon spaceships looks rather harsh but not primitive.

Of course the inner workings of the turbine portion are sophisticated. We have a gravitic turbine image for other races, which I could use in place of the turbine portion of this one with some alteration. I was just trying to make it look different from the other gravitic turbine image, as well as Klingon.

Ooooh they are pretty!!!! Those buildings are looking great, I love how you did 3d models of them so you can pretty much use them anywhere from different angles, nice work. Oh and thanks, I guess this is post number 50 then. woohoo. (Edit: POST 50 - Yay! I added the Pip to the avatar too as a joke.)

Congratulations cadet.
I'm glad you like them. I was never pleased with the first Klingon Working Party. I still think I need to darken it a bit (the new image).

The working party in the right lower corner that replaced the old working party in the first Klingon post. It is brighter than the other images in the same grouping.

Come to think of it, the working party "towers" look a bit odd because they are stand-alone and unconnected to the main building. Perhaps they should be connected to it somehow? Not all of the windows would be lit at the same time either. Perhaps a random selection of them need to be darkened/turned off? I'm not sure how they're lit at the moment, but you could just paint over them to avoid playing with the light source if that's how you did it. ...Not that I want to cause more work, it already looks great, Just a usual Matress nitpicking.

I'd remove the towers and keep to the main building. The pink windows, I'd just significantly reduce their number - the top ones are too close to the ceiling ledge I think. I'd also remove the bat'leths fom the ceiling, since these are labs. Darkening it a bit is a good idea.

I can try and make some texture for the windows so that they look more realistic

Adding the Bat'leths was my idea. I suggested adding it as a stained glass effect because the solid red glow didn't look right. The Bat'leths make is obvious that it's a Klingon building as well. It would otherwise look more generic than the other buildings, since it doesn't have any flags or anything.
Your point about the top set of windows being too high is right though. The building needs to either be slightly heightened, or the windows need to be moved.

This is a Production Facility, so it is more generic than other buildings. I don't think it needs to have obvious Klingon markings. Unique structures, sure, I understand. Besides, it will only show for Klingon players (or in subjugated systems, but not in the build list), and the other empires' PFs don't have any markings (nor the other Klingon PFs). I don't see a reason for this one to be different.

Darken, Yes, I agree.
Iceman is right there is something weird with the top row of windows, I was thinking that myself, then when he mentioned it, it was clear.
I don't know about removing the towers, but they need less windows, I think. As for them being not connected, it doesn't matter much, maybe they house storage for the main lab, extra space eternal to the lab, have some sort of data/power features that are connected via cable. They might even be connected underground.
The torches/lights around the outside seem out of place too. As for the Bat'leths, they seem fine.
The Klingon structures seem to be darker in feel and texture, they also play with shadows and dim lighting (torchy/flame-like look).
Honestly though it is good as it is, but it does stand out against the rest, because it has a different feel and quality to it.
