Good evening, everyone! (or morning, if you're across the ocean  ) First of all, I'd like to thank you all for your hard work on this game so far and I hope the game will get better and more complete in time. Second, I'd like to thank Kenneth of Borg for granting me access to the forums.
That being said, I must point out something that's been bugging me for a long time. Have you noticed that in the Sol system, Venus is smaller than Mars? Actually, Venus is only a tad smaller than Earth. Mars is much smaller. If that could be fixed in the next release, it would be very nice. And I've also noticed that all solar systems only have one star, even though binary and trinary systems are quite common too, in the real universe. It's just a suggestion, but I believe that a bit more diversity as far as the stars go can't hurt.
Please do not get mad at me, because I am just suggesting stuff, I'm not trying to be bossy or anything like that.

Welcome Catalin. You will have to be here a little longer before anyone gets mad at you.

Thanks for pointing out the planet size issue. It was fixed in later updates of the game that are not seen at the public download location.

You are also right that binary stars are common. It is also thought that habitable planets are more likely in single star system but that is another issue. I am working on a 3D map system and that is a good idea for the uninhabited star systems. Thanks.

Don't mention it. From what I could grasp, you people are quite focused now on testing a combat engine. Congratulations are in order, as I understand that it was your work in particular. And I've seen screenshots of starships on this site, which are wonderfully crafted. So I guess that development is leaning now towards these two directions, combat engine and starship graphics.

Good idea. Unfortunately it's probable we won't finish the game as it is, not alone add new features. You could help us out if you know of any skilled programmer that would be willing to help us out. I was close recently.

As for the size thing, I went trough all canon and semicanon info available on the internet. I configured the starsystems of all races (that had info about them) accordingly. It's a shame no one outside the team saw that. If we release it soon I'm hoping you'll enjoy it.

Mike, the programmer of Supremacy, is no longer working on the game. His code is very complex and we do not have anyone with skills at his level to finish the work.

The Unity game engine, as it turns out, cannot be integrated into Supremacy for combat as see in the original BOTF.

My hope is that Unity can be used to make a simple version of this 4X BOTF game by itself. We will see where it goes.

Well, Vjeko, I did notice that the home systems of the playable empires are special, if that's any comfort. Unfortunately for the Federation and the Founders, their systems have the smallest maximum population. On the subject of bringing new people on the team, I will try talking some other programmers into joining this team. However, those whom I have in mind are specialised in creating patches for football games, but you never know. Bringing Mike back into the fold would be awesome. Try nagging him. Maybe it'll work!

It's in my to do list to rework the pop caps per planet size/type. I have experimented a few options, but I'm not yet satisfied.
Thanks for the feedback!

BTW, I'm still hoping Mike will be back. Not sure when, but I'm hoping.

Notice that Sol has 4 Gas Giants, which means a production of 40 deuterium per turn, it's the best system in that particular item; also, there's lots of moons in that system, also the largest amount usually, and at level 6 you can build the Moon Habitation structure which increases system pop (by a lot in this case). [I've been tweaking Moons too BTW]
And the Feds have some really cool hardware, very strong ships, with Utopia Planitia in Sol to crank them out faster.
The Dominion have the best shipyards, and their playstyle will probably be a little different than the rest.
It's a matter of global balance.
