I just tested 20110610 build a bit in single player, had no trouble to get it run on my win8 pro system
didn't even have to install any additional stuff - probably I already did so before

I tested that build to include system invasion as well. It looks nice but I think it takes too much time for a turn based game. We will see. That is I hope we will see tomorrow.

Wow, you're using Windows 8 already. What do you think?

all this spam trouble with phpbb forums really is a horror, already waiting on it to start on afc again too

regarding win8, in my opinion it's a catastrophe as long you have no touchscreen.
First thing I installed is classic shell, then I did lots of configuration to get a half way comfortable desktop back.
Beside this there's also quite some improvements to win7 but that's not what strikes the eye.
I got it for free prior to official release already by MSDNAA, so if you're a computer science student you might get one for free too.

Hope this is not going too far off topic here.
