I cannot play botf via internet. My router seems to be the problem. If both computers are connected directly or both are connected to the router with a network cable everything works fine. Just a connection via internet isn't possible.
Do I have to open a special port?

Did you try the Zone, or MSN?

No, if possible, I'd prefer a connection just using my friend's IP.

i couldn't find the ports for playing online, i have a server (no router) using a shared internet connection... so no dmz or ip forwarding, i need the specific ports
