Galaxy Empire is a free and advertisement-free (except own ones) space MMOG for Android and iOS. It’s realtime so – contrary to turn-based games like e.g. Birth of the Empires or Birth of the Federation 2 it addicts you and forces steady doing.

Birth of the Empires oder Birth of the Federation 2 macht es "süchtig" und zwingt zum ständigen Kümmern.

Basics

  • NEVER colonize two planets (or more than one) in the same system: This would be the worst mistake you could make….if you’re attacked the enemy has an easy doing and is able to wipe you out in fastest way.
    • spread your planets to different systems (and even different galaxies), each system only one planet.
      • why different galaxies: firstly this doesn’t make sense (and maybe don’t do it for your first three planets), but
        • if your part of galaxy it’s easier to have a planet in several galaxies
        • also if a friend joins he mostly isn’t next to you

Hints

  • build up your mines, shipyard a little bit to build solar satellites, storages at least, and do some research
  • don't build planetary defense (or only if there's nothing else to do) ...it's not worth
  • with dm (blue) you can speed up build orders in 15-min-steps (if you have enough dm only!)
  • save credits (gold) - you get these only with real dollars (no other way ingame)
  • to less resources and enough dm -> by spending one dm you can buy little amount of resources, especially for building up a new planet
  • planet order: top is your home world, new worlds placed on 2nd top place -> that's good because you have to visits new planets often to build them up
  • I give planets names depending to their coordinates, so x:x:5 is planet 5, x:x:6 is planet 6 ...I don't give them real number like 2 -> some could means he has only 2 planets.
  • try to send recycler ships to nebulas as soon as you can (recycler ships don't take part to combats and so they're not destroyed)
  • Reports: I only check for Combat (and not for fleet return and research..out of nebula)
  • max. eight planets available to colonize (depending on Astrophysics Tech !), normally 4-5 and 1-2 raid planets (for raiding other gamers/alliances)
  • there's no need to build fleets (on the other site I didn't realize that fleet option, who it works and what the advantage is)
  • at planet list there's a "secure" (in German: sicher) top left -> this change to "espionaged" or to "attack is running". In this case also a number (1) is displayed at "planets"
  • if storage exceeds (red), production stops (yield per recyclers might be not affected)
  • if planet's place lacks -> downgrade buildings (solar farm and others)

  • best join in, get part of an alliance which sends you resources to upgrade your planets/ships/research quicker than you could do it on your own
    • for getting part of an alliance you need to build the building "alliance depot"

Daily check

  • fleets on the way ?
  • news
  • research running until ?

  • planets (quick)
    • ship building running ?
    • recycler send to nebula ?
  • planets (extended)
    • storages
    • what to build

Phase 1 Beginning

VIP

Each day you log in you’ll earn some points increasing your VIP status.

I didn’t pay any money to increase it more quickly.

Scoring

  • every 1000 resources you‘re spending gives you 1 point
  • for research this is doubled
  • 1000 (gamers) points leads to 1 alliance point.

Alliances

(somehow also „allaince“…maybe a typo inside the game?)

  • firstly you needn’t get part of an alliance
  • on the other side it’s quite useful
    • getting hints from experienced players
    • getting resources if you want to (and they want, but normally they have hugh amounts)
    • being part of an alliance secures you from being attacked a little bit more
    • when you’ve joined ask them for affiliations and NAP to other alliances
    • an alliance might use another chat program (maybe LINE) and NOT chat function inside GE
    • don’t chat coords [1:1:1] inside GE

more

At beginning it’s important to raise. On the other hand there are some aims:

  • colonizing more planets
  • getting to #Phase 2 Recycler, within getting ships and resources FREE
  • no ships are required …for some duties you need light jäger but to fulfill the duty it’s ok to send one ship (without winning the combat) ….so the plan is still to build as many recyclers as soon as possible
  • buying a general (costs 25 dm) which allows to have two build orders at the same time

Resources out of mines

While starting (also at colonizing a new planet) you only get resources from mines. Some colonizing a new planet, but you could send transporters with resources onboard.

First steps:

  • build a metal mine
    • press “sofort beenden” (in English maybe “finish immediately”)
    • press Upgrade
    • press…until it takes more than a minute and so time for you to wait -> then changed to the next mine typ or next buildings

IMPORTANT: Mention your resource storage that will get empty -> first build mines to fil it up again

Energy

Solar farm: See temperature. You’ll need to build solar farm as it’s the first option to get energy. On the other side I shoot down my solar farms back to level 1 (I don’t know how to scrap it) while using GE Ships#Solar Satellite in hugh amounts. Later it might be possible to use them for creating a moon. Solar satellites have the disadvantage that they can be destroyed if you’re attacked. But than just build it again.

As soon as available a fusion reactor should be build as well. But upgrading has minor priority to me than building solar satellites which are later a quite cheap options to get more energy.

Quick upgrading by using dm You’ll get dm time by time for free (but you don’t get credits steady for free). One way to upgrade is

  • press Upgrade
  • don’t press any option “pay with credits” but on top press green button -> than you’re offered to pay with dm. This is –in my mind- very useful to upgrade:
  • research lab (without have a break on research progress)
  • shipyard (without stopping ship production for hours)

Production There are different productions:

  • build orders (build/upgrade structures)
  • ship building (by shipyard)
  • research
  • Galactonite finding (needs dm only)

robot factory Robot factory should always be upgraded as soon as possible. It shorten time for upgrading all others. However, building recycler ships is more important than upgrading. Of course, for this you have to upgrade shipyard, for this upgrade robot factory and so on. So find your own way.

Research Research is one important issue to gain success. Percent data are target values…of course to the higher ones it’s a long way. At the beginning important techs are:

  • Computer tech: allows you to send more and more fleets
  • Astro physic tech (very important): allows you to send more recyclers to nebulas at the same time and in addition to colonize more planets…you should try to achieve minimum Tech 9

One further advise is to develope combat research, especially

  • weapon tech 140% (in German: Waffen Tech)
  • shield tech 150% (in German: Schild-Tech)
  • armor tech 160% (in German: Panzerungs Tech)

Less weapon tech, more armor tech – why? Due to it’s more important that ships survive (and fire back) longer than being destroyed very quick. Second argument is when attacked inside nebulas from pirates armor and shields helps you. The rest of techs you should push if you need it or if there’s time and resources for it.

Radar

Upgrade until level 14, if you have resources and time.

Research lab At all it’s sufficient to build only one research lab (one for all of your planets, not at each planet :-) ), steady to the highest level to gain most/quickest research yield. Upgrade this one using “quick upgrading by using dm”.

Another hint was, just to have two ones:

  • one researching
  • second upgrading

=> but this didn’t worked to me. One hint was, that later (depending on VIP status) you can have 2 researchs at the same time. If you’ve reached this you can build a second research lab as well.

Storage

When a basic yield out of mines is assured one next step is upgrading storages. Yielding resources without option to storage it isn’t well done.

If you have more resources at your planet than the storage is, the overflow storage stays a while (don’t know how long…I say an hour or two?)

Gas Important is gas: If you run out of gas you cannot send ships or especially recyclers anywhere.

Planets It’s useful that you have „large“ planets. These are mostly

Galactonite First you’ll gain some splitter time by time – just collect it. Some duties will demand to fusion it …than do it. Later it will be useful to handle with it and the crystals as well.

Getting splitter You’ll get splitters by attacking ncps.

NCP non-player character , plural: ncps.

Phase 2 Recycler

I call this the Recycler phase because now sending Recyclers to Nebulas is very important to raise more and more. As higher as your Astro physic tech is, you can send one, two or three fleets to nebulas at the same time, of course for each planet itself. In this phase I did sending the fleets (mostly needs 35 Min. one way) and ordered shipyards to build new recyclers for 1 hour 10 minutes. So next turn some more recyclers joined. Steps for this:

  • select planet
    • ordered ships
    • select galaxy + nebula + ordered ships to it
  • select next planet…

NEW: Aim is to send as much probes into nebula as possible. For getting resources it's still aim to send 667 recyclers at the same time to gain maximum resources (2m each kind).

OLD: Aim is for maximum yield to send 1340 recyclers and to send 3 fleets at the same time – so you need 3980 recyclers each planets. Firstly it’s aim to send 667 recyclers each time (2001 recyclers each planet) because you’ll never find more resources inside nebulas as they can transport. But so, why 3980 recyclers? Because it increases the chances to find at least anything – that’s the reason. Transporters are another option to farm nebulas and maybe it’s cheaper and quicker to send them. The big advantage of recyclers is that they never take part in a combat itself inside nebulas so never a ships will be destroyed inside a combat (check combat summary). For transporters I’m not sure about that. And it makes double effort to send two types of ships (I didn’t found the advantage of fleet function yet, especially if every turn some more new build recyclers have to join). For the same reason I don’t add probes though this might increase the chances to find ships inside nebulas (instead of resources)

Hint: A flight to nebula needs round about 5 minutes and exploring the nebula about 30 minutes (summary 35 minutes). Speeding the fleet (between 100% and down to 10%) only affects flight time of 5 minutes to go there and 5 minutes return time.

Don’t send combat ships to nebulas

Inside nebulas enemies are generated depending on the strength of your fleet sent inside. One recycler has –only- the strength 1 so the enemy is the smallest one. Enemy will always have more strength than you !!!, so you’ll never win a combat inside nebula.

Ordering ships to other planets

  • as said before, but when address is taken by nebula, I change this address manually to that one I want to – other parts of address is fulfilled automatically in this way…just try it on yourself.

Phase 3

not arrived myself yet

nanite factory

Needs 16M metal and more Each planet should have a nanite factory (in German: Nano-Fabrik) at level 3. The factory and each level saves round about half the time.

Ressourcen

How to get resources is described at

Resources alternative gaining

Gaining resources from nos

Gaining resources from other players

Farmen anderen Spieler.

. . .

Temperatur

A Planet's temperature affects energy and resource production.

  • A high temperature Planet will receive a bonus to Solar Satellite efficiency, meaning more energy for the colony, and lower Gas production.
  • A colder Planet will produce less energy from Solar Satellites, as well as higher Gas yields.

Metall

  • most available, except of Crystal
  • not need for every order

At a lack of Metall build:

  • Solar Satellites
  • some Techs

Kristall

  • needed for almost every order so I had the biggest lack of Crystal all the time …so speed up crystal mines most

Gas

  • at the beginning less needed
  • not needed for every build order

Dark Matter

  • Produktionen/Upgrades beschleunigen (sinnvoll),
  • Kommandanten anheuern (sehr sinnvoll),
  • zusätzliche Ressourcen kaufen (nicht sinnvoll)
  • oder gegen Galactonites eintauschen (sehr sinnvoll).

Sound Crash

I've noticed a sound "Crash" sometimes without any report to that. But I assume:

  • after launching a fleet maybe this fleet was detected by a scanner and somehow destroyed ??
    • so now I send my fleets to the moon and launching it from that (moon fleets can not be scanned)
